Cleansing is one of the most important steps in your daily skincare routine. It removes excess oils, debris, helps to nourish your skin and gets your skin ready to absorb moisture and treatment serums that you apply afterwards.
There are different cleansers for different skin types and conditions as well as for different purposes.
We're going to dive into the cleansers that I use/retail in my spa.
Skin Script Green Tea Citrus Cleanser ($26.50 6.5fl oz or $10.00 2fl oz)
A foamy, gentle, cleansing option for environmentally challenged skin. It works well to remove makeup and protects the skin from cellular damage while improving clarity and tone. It clarifies and cleans, supports skin immune functions, maintains healthy cell function, provides cellular protection from free radicals and provides anti-inflammatory-like benefits. This is a great all around cleanser for normal/combo skin and even rosacea/sensitive skin. Skin Script Pomegranate Antioxidant Cleanser ($26.50 6.5fl oz or $10.00 2fl oz) A moderately rich, cream-based cleansing option that is infused with a wide array of antioxidants, nutritional elements, and oils to restore and protect the skin. It soothes skin irritation, calms and provides anti-inflammatory-like benefits, assists in boosting hydration levels and enhances cellular turnover. A great option for normal/dry skin as well as rosacea/sensitive skin. With this cleanser you can apply it dry and massage into the skin and then remove with a warm washcloth. It doesn't foam up, so it doesn't need water when you apply it.
Skin Script Charcoal Clay Cleanser ($26.50 6.5fl oz or $10.00 2fl oz)
This cleanser is infused with charcoal and kaolin clay to absorb environmental toxins. It contains kaolin clay to absorb excess sebum, remove impurities and help prevent clogged pores. A great option for normal/oily skin, teens and men. With this cleanser you can apply it dry and massage into the skin and then remove with a warm washcloth. It doesn't foam up, so it doesn't need water when you apply it.
Skin Script Raspberry Refining Cleanser ($26.50 6.5fl oz or $10.00 2fl oz)
A unique, foamy cleanser that rebalances and improves skin texture while its active ingredients purify and restore vitality to skin. It provides surface renewal and resurfacing, clarifies and exfoliates, reduces oil and debris, lessens future breakouts and improves skin function.
This cleanser is perfect for oily/acne prone skin. I would start on a regular skincare routine before adding this in. It has small amounts of Glycolic & Salicylic acid to break down build up and reduce oil, but it can make your skin itch a little bit or dry your skin a bit if used too much.
Skin Script Glycolic Cleanser ($29.00 6.5fl oz or $12.00 2fl oz) A foaming cleanser infused with a combination of alpha hydroxy acids. It renews the skin by removing the uppermost layer of dead skin cells to reveal a bright, smooth skin surface. It refines and renews skin, lessens the appearance of wrinkles, brightens and invigorates skin, lessens the appearance of acne scars and enhances cellular turnover
I would start on a regular skincare routine before adding this in. It has a generous amount of glycolic acid to break down dead skin, but it can irritate your skin if you use it too often or without a proper routine.
I also use the Color Up Therapeutics Remove-Foaming Cleanser ($35 5fl oz) during CBD Infused facials. It's made with Organic Hemp CBD–150mg, Organic Aloe Vera, Organic Hemp Seed Oil and Organic Rose Essential Oil as the main, active ingredients. It's super hydrating, has no added scents besides the rose essential oil and is great for all skin types and even sensitive and patients going through cancer treatments. While I don't have this cleanser in my backbar or for retail, I do use Hale & Hush and they have a cleanser called Quiet Wash ($36.50 6.2fl oz or $21.95 3.3fl oz). Their line is made specifically for sensitive skin. This cleanser gently showers skin with an expert blend of botanical extracts that combat the inflammation, irritation, itchiness, and redness common to reactive, sensitive skin and exacerbated by environmental toxins. Quiet Wash leaves skin clean, comfortable and calmly receptive to successive products for excellent sensitivity correction results. This can be ordered through me.
